A Bangladeshi commercial vessel detained at a port in Guinea has been released after eight months, the foreign ministry says.

MV Dahiatul Kalbi was detained along with its crew last year on Nov 7, a week after it reached the port of Conakry.
The foreign ministry said it faced several cases including delayed arrival of the charterer at the port.
Bangladesh does not have a mission in Guinea.
The foreign ministry said they learnt of the seizure in May this year, and took up the matter with the Guinea authorities through Bangladesh mission in Rabat, Morocco.
Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque also discussed it with the senior officials of the Guinea foreign ministry on the sidelines of the OIC meeting in Saudi Arabia last month.
