Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate 13 special jets along with the scheduled ones for Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a statement on Monday, the national flag carrier said these flights will be from Dhaka to Syedpur, Rajshahi, and Barishal.

Of these, six crafts will be operated on the Dhaka-Rajshahi-Dhaka flight path from Mar 25 to 30, another six on the Dhaka-Syedpur-Dhaka route from Mar 26 to 31, and the other on the Dhaka-Barishal-Dhaka route on Mar 27.

The airline says it has already started selling tickets for these flights.

Asked whether the number of jets could be increased or decreased, Biman spokesperson Bosra Islam said these planes are being operated exclusively ahead of Eid.

"It’s not possible to say at this moment whether it will be extended or not. We don't really have a chance.

“If aircrafts are available, more can be added."
