Bangladesh’s Attorney General AM Amin Uddin has resigned.
He confirmed the matter to the media himself on Wednesday.
On Oct 8, 2020, the senior Supreme Court lawyer and president of the Supreme Court Bar Association was appointed as the country’s attorney general.
Amin Uddin was elected as the bar association president for the 2020-21 term. He served as the association’s president during the 2019-20 session along with another stint as secretary.
Amin replaced the late Attorney General Mahbubey Alam. The post was left vacant after Alam died of the coronavirus in 2020.
