Dhaka, Feb 22 (bdnews24.com) –Banker Mamun Rashid brought a book to the Ekushey Book Fair Friday:
Keno Jamini Na Jete Jagalena.
Former Bangladesh Bank deputy governor Ibrahim Khaled unveiled the cover of the book, a compilation of Mamun's articles, mostly published in Bangla-language daily Prothom Alo.
"In the book, the author has detailed his own observations that have literary value. It discusses various aspects of the economy, society and the War of Liberation," Khaled said.
Rashid said: "Keno Jamini Na Jete Jagalena is the compilation of near-instant reactions to various topical issues. Some articles deal with current social and economic problems."
"The articles on the economic issues have focused on alternative solutions, going beyond stereotypical thought."
Osman Gani of Agami Prokashoni, the distributor of the book, said: "It's an excellent book. Everybody should read it."
Sampan Prokashoni published the book, priced at Tk 250.
