Tarique’s maiden national speech as PM rescheduled to 9:45pm

He will speak to the citizens for the first time as head of government to outline his government’s priorities

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s maiden national address has been rescheduled to 9:45pm on Wednesday.

The speech was initially scheduled for 7pm, then revised to 6:30pm, before being again recheduled. It will be broadcast live across state and private television channels, as well as online platforms, for nationwide access.

This will be Tarique’s first address to citizens as Bangladesh’s 11th premier, and he is expected to outline the government’s vision and priorities.

Tarique and his cabinet took oath of office on Tuesday.
