The four former ministers are Anisul Huq, Sadhan Chandra Majumder, Shajahan Khan, and Hasanul Haq Inu

Police have been granted a total of 41 days to interrogate eight people, including four former ministers of the ousted Sheikh Hasina administration, in cases across several police stations in Dhaka.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrates Md Shariful Rahman and Md Imran Ahmed issued the remand orders after separate hearings on Wednesday.
The former ministers that have been remanded to police custody are former law minister Anisul Huq, former food minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder, former shipping minister Shajahan Khan, and former information minister Hasanul Haq Inu.
The others are former MP Haji Mohammad Salim, former inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, former army officer Ziaul Ahsan, and Dhaka University Chhatra League’s general secretary Tanvir Hasan Saikat.
The eight men were detained after the fall of the Awami League government in August and are currently in jail under various cases. Police have already interrogated them multiple times under previous remand orders.
They were brought to court on Wednesday morning under tight security. At the hearing, investigating officers requested remand extensions, which the judge granted.
Anisul was placed on an eight-day remand, five days for a case at Shahbagh Police Station related to voter fraud at the High Court, and three days for a murder case at Badda Police Station.
Sadhan Chandra and Shajahan were each remanded for three days in cases filed at Mohammadpur and Jatrabari Police Stations respectively, while Inu was remanded for five days in a murder case at Dhanmondi Police Station.
Former IGP Mamun received a three-day remand in a case at Dhanmondi Police Station and an additional four days in a case at Bangshal Police Station.
Additionally, Ziaul, Haji Salim, and Saikat were each placed on five-day remands in cases filed at New Market, Chawkbazar, and Dhanmondi Police Stations, respectively.
Anisul was arrested on Aug 13 from Sadarghat soon after the government’s fall. Police detained Inu on Aug 26 from Uttara.
Shajahan was arrested in Dhanmondi on Sept 5, and Sadhan Chandra was taken into custody in the Bashundhara Residential Area on the night of Oct 3.
Former army officer Ziaul was detained on Aug 16 in Khilkhet, and Chhatra League leader Saikat was apprehended on Aug 14 in Nikunja.
On Sept 1, Haji Salim was arrested from Bangshal in Old Dhaka, followed by the arrest of former IGP Mamun on the night of Sept 3.
