Dhaka, Dec 13 (bdnews24.com) — The government has shuffled eight police officers at the additional inspector general (Addl IG), deputy inspector general (DIG) and additional deputy inspector general (Addl DIG) levels.
The home ministry issued an order on Tuesday in this regard.
Uttara Armed Police Battalion (APBn) DIG Nazmul Haque has been made rector of Police Staff College. He replaced Nayeem Ahmed (Addl IG), who has been seconded to Sarda Police Academy in Rajshahi as its professor.
Police headquarters DIG Mohammad Amir Uddin have been promoted to the rank of Addl IG. He and recently-promoted Addl IG Sheikh Hemayet Hossain have been deputed at the police headquarters.
Of the DIGs, Sarda Police Academy professor Mohammad Aminul Haque has been seconded to Dhaka Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and police headquarters DIG Mohammad Moniruzzaman to Uttara APBn.
Two Addl DIGs have also been promoted to the next rank.
Of them, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) director Mezbah Uddin has been transferred to Dhaka range police, while Dhaka CID Addl DIG Iqbal Bahar has been promoted and sent as DIG to the police headquarters.
