Ten more children have died of measles or measles-like symptoms across Bangladesh in the last 24 hours.
One of the children died after being diagnosed with measles, while the other nine died with symptoms of the disease, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its regular bulletin on Sunday.
The health agency also reported 95 new measles cases during the same period.
Since Mar 15, measles has killed 50 people across the country, while 244 others have died with suspected measles symptoms.
Dhaka has recorded the highest number of deaths among patients with measles symptoms at 116, followed by the Rajshahi Division with 70.
The DGHS said 1,166 people with measles symptoms went to hospitals in the last 24 hours. Of them, 905 were admitted.
Hospitals in Dhaka recorded the highest number of admissions with measles symptoms during the period at 419, while Mymensingh recorded the lowest, with six.
Since Mar 15, Bangladesh has recorded 40,491 suspected measles patients. Of them, 5,313 have tested positive for the disease.
