Three women who worked at a garments factory have been killed after a bus rammed a three-wheeler in Habiganj’s Madhabpur.
The accident occurred in front of the Badshah Pioneer Company factory in Shahjibazar on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 7:30am on Saturday.
The dead are all workers at the factory.
They were identified as Urmi Aktar, Dilara Begum, and Rumi Akhtar.
Saidul Haque, the duty officer at Madhabpur Police Station, said the workers had been on their way to work on the three-wheeler when the accident occurred.
“A speeding bus rammed their three-wheeler and overturned it, killing two of the women on the spot. Another died on the way to the Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex.”
The bodies have been recovered and sent to the Habiganj District Sadar Modern Hospital, Saidul said.
