The interim government has approved a draft policy outlining the process by which advisors and aides employed with similar status will disclose their earnings and assets.
The Cabinet Division in a media statement on Thursday said that the policy draft titled 'Income and Asset Declaration Disclosure Policy,' was approved during the meeting of the advisory council chaired by Muhammad Yunus.
According to the policy, the advisors and aides, who are appointed to work for the government or the republic, are required to submit their income and asset statements within 15 working days after the final income tax submission date each year.
According to the income tax law, the last day for other taxpayers, except companies, to submit their income tax return is Nov 30.
However, the government sometimes extends this period under special arrangements.
