Chief Advisor Yunus to address the nation on Tuesday evening

State-run media will broadcast the chief advisor’s speech

Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus is set to address the nation on Tuesday evening ahead of Independence Day and Eid-ul-Fitr.

The speech will be broadcast simultaneously on all state-run media at 7pm on Tuesday, according to the press wing of the Chief Advisor's Office.

In the face of a student-led mass uprising, Sheikh Hasina stepped down as prime minister and left for India on Aug 5, 2024, bringing an end to the Awami League government’s 15-year rule.

On Aug 8, the advisory council of the interim government, led by Yunus, took the oath of office at the Bangabhaban. On the same day, Chief Advisor Yunus delivered his first address to the nation.
