One-stop service will be launched to resolve land sector woes, says Minister Minu

The initiative aims to cut delays, costs, and public harassment in land-related services

Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu has announced plans to introduce a one-stop service to resolve complexities and curb irregularities in land administration.

Speaking in Rajshahi, the lawmaker elected from Rajshahi-2 said the initiative will deliver land services directly to citizens’ doorsteps while ensuring quicker disposal of applications.

On Friday, after a courtesy meeting with party leaders and activists at the Padma Community Centre in Rajshahi city, Minu said: “Through this system, citizens will be able to complete document verification, land registration, record inspection and other land-related work in a single location.

He said the system is expected to cut both time and expenses, reducing public suffering.

“The primary goal of modernising the Land Ministry is to end harassment of service seekers and ensure transparency and accountability in service delivery,” he added.

Minu noted that the ministry operates under legal frameworks and directives are being issued in accordance with existing laws and regulations.

According to him, locations with procedural complications or irregularities will be identified and corrected promptly.

On the overall development of his home district, he said the information technology sector will receive priority to generate employment.

He also spoke of plans to create an industry-friendly environment in the northern region to open up new job opportunities for local youth.
