They claim drug dealers dumped the sack near a police check post at Gachhbarhia on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar Highway in the early hours of Thursday.
Chandanaish police OC Gazi Md Sakhawat told bdnews24.com, “Police signalled a Chittagong-bound motorbike to stop but the riders instead of complying sped away dropping the sack on the road.”
Police later recovered it and found the Yaba pills.
Sakhawat said police were preparing to open a case over the drug haul.
