The flyover’s route from Jahangir Gate to Banani will remain closed from 9pm to 8am until Nov 11

Dhaka’s Mohakhali flyover will be partially closed at night until Nov 18 for repair work.
Dhaka North City Corporation, or DNCC, made the announcement through a press statement on Tuesday.
According to the media statement, the Jahangir Gate to Banani route will remain closed from Tuesday until Nov 11, from 9pm to 8am for repair work. During these hours, vehicles moving towards Banani will not be able to use the flyover.
In addition, the Banani to Jahangir Gate route of the flyover will remain closed from 9pm to 8am for repair work from Nov 12 to Nov 18.
The DNCC has requested vehicles moving towards Jahangir Gate towards Banani to use the roads below the flyover during the repair hours.
Construction work for Mohakhali flyover, the capital’s first ever flyover began in December 2001. It was inaugurated by former prime minister Khaleda Zia in November 2004. The flyover was opened to the public from the day of its inauguration.
Tk 1.14 billion was spent to construct the flyover which is 1.12km long.
