Government reshuffles top administration as one promoted, two moved

The changes are part of ongoing administrative updates since the new government took office

Two secretaries have been reassigned and one additional secretary promoted in the latest administrative reshuffle.

On Tuesday, Md Sakhawat Hossain, an additional secretary at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, was promoted to the rank of secretary and retained in the same ministry.

The ministry’s previous secretary Abu Taher Md Masud Rana has been transferred to the food ministry.

In a separate order from the Ministry of Public Administration, Md Firoz Sarker, secretary of the Ministry of Food, has been reassigned to the Statistics and Informatics Division.

Since taking office on Feb 17 following an election, the BNP-led government under Tarique Rahman has been introducing regular changes in the administration after the interim period.
