An 11-year-old girl named Arabie Islam Subha has gone missing from Dhaka’s Adabor.
She was last seen crossing the road on Sunday evening.
Her father, Imran Rajib, reported her disappearance in a GD, or complaint, with the Adabor Police Station on Monday evening.
Adabor Police Station chief Mahfuz Imtiaz Bhuiyan said, "We are actively trying to find her."
Subha's father Imran told bdnews24.com that his daughter attends the 6th grade at a school in Barishal.
Due to his wife’s cancer treatment, they have been staying at his sister’s house in Dhaka for the past two months.
Imran said on Sunday evening, Subha went out with her cousin, and while crossing Mohammadpur Ring Road, Subha's cousin crossed ahead of her.
When he turned back, Subha was nowhere to be found, he said.
Meanwhile, an officer from Mohammadpur Police Station said Subha was seen in a video footage outside Tokyo Square.
The footage shows Subha walking with her cousin and another person before they disappeared from the frame.
Police are trying to gather additional footage for further investigation.
