Police have arrested two female members allegedly part of a gang involved in circulating the videos of so-called torture on men by women and perverted sex on social media "in exchange for money”.
After apprehending them from a flat in Bashundhara Residential Area at 3am on Friday, police said the gang was known as "Femdom Group” and the suspects identify themselves as mistresses.
Vatara Police Station Sub-Inspector Iqbal Hossain believes the arrests are the first of its kind in Bangladesh.
The arrestees are Shikha Akter, 25, and Sweety Akter Zara, 25. They told police that they were friends.
Providing information about the existence of a Telegram group, SI Iqbal told bdnews24.com: "A person contacted the group and booked a one-hour ‘Femdom Session’. Based on information received from him, police conducted a drive there."
Several videos were allegedly found from the two that were part of the “Femdom Session”. In addition, a whip, special clothing, high-heeled boot shoes and a mobile phone used in the practice have also been recovered, police say.
Iqbal said the men, who were interested in this, contacted the group and booked the session for Tk 3,000 to Tk 5,000 for an hour.
"The men voluntarily take part in so-called torture by women in the practice. The arrestees said the men get pleasure from this."
The arrestees claimed that the videos were filmed with the consent of their male customers when the alleged torture took place. The male partners later bought these video clips at Tk 500 to Tk 1,000 and posted them in their designated groups.
The women told police that they receive up to three bookings per day.
The officer said the women have been involved with the group for six to seven months. They were staying in the flat where the raid took place for two months, Iqbal said.
They also have a few regular customers, he added.
Quoting the initial investigation of the women, he says more such groups exist and efforts are underway to arrest them.
