Four die as truck collides head-on with pick-up in Habiganj

Five others injured in the road accident are in critical condition

At least four people have died as a truck collided head-on with a pick-up truck in Habiganj’s Madhabpur.

The accident occurred around 3am on Friday at Bakhornagar, said Abdullah Al Mamun, chief of Madhabpur Police Station.

He said, “Four people died on the spot in a head-on collision between a truck and a pick-up truck. The pick-up truck was carrying 17 passengers and some household items.”

“Those injured were sent to the Sadar Hospital. Five of them are in a critical condition.”

OC Mamun said the bodies were recovered and kept at the Shayestaganj Highway Police Station. Police are working to identify the dead.
