Three victims died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital while the fourth died at the hospital

At least four people have died when two motorcycles collided head-on near the toll plaza of the Padma Bridge in Shariatpur’s Zajira Upazila.
The accident took place near the Sheikh Russel Cantonment adjacent to the toll plaza around 10pm on Sunday, said Akram Hossain, chief of Padma Bridge South Police Station.
The dead were identified as 30-year-old Arman Dhali, the son of Dadon Dhali from Dhali Kandi village, 25-year-old Khidir Matbar, the son of Alim Matbar, 28-year-old Nabil Faraji, the son of Rubel Faraji of Faraji Kandi village, and Sayem Madbar, the son of Eskandar Ali Madbar from the same village.
“Two motorcycles had a head-on collision on the road beside the toll plaza, which stretches from Padma Bridge South Police Station to the Sheikh Russel Cantonment Road. Four passengers of the motorcycles were severely injured in the crash,” said OC Akram.
Locals rescued them. Three of the victims died while on the way to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital while the fourth one died in the hospital, he said.
