Bangladesh appoints Hasan Mahmood Khan new Air Force chief

He will replace Air Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan

The government has promoted Air Vice Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan to Air Marshal and appointed him the chief of Bangladesh Air Force.

The Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate or ISPR made the announcement on Sunday, saying his appointment will take effect on Jun 11.

The defence ministry also published a circular on his appointment.

Khan will replace Air Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan, who will retire on Jun 11.
