After completing a two-day visit to Malaysia, Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has departed the country for China’s Dalian.

He departed on board a special Bangladesh Biman flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 5pm local time, said the Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.

He said, "[Tarique] has started his journey from Malaysia to Dalian, China. He will be in Dalian for a busy two-day programme."

“After that, the prime minister will travel to Beijing, the capital of China, where the main programme of the state visit will begin.”

Tarique will attend the annual conference of the World Economic Forum in Dalian.

Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs Zulkifli bin Hasan bid farewell to the Bangladeshi prime minister at the exclusive VIP terminal of the Bunga Ray Complex at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Bangladeshi High Commissioner to Malaysia Manjurul Karim and Deputy High Commissioner Mosammat Shahanara Monica were also present at the time.
