Fire guts 17 houses in Chattogram’s Satkania

At least 17 houses were burnt down in a fire at Chattogram’s Satkania.

The incident took place at Jele Para, a fishing village, in Dharmapur union on Friday morning, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

The fire broke out around 9:45 am following a electric short circuit, the Control Room of Chattogram Divisional Fire Service said.

Firefighters eventually doused the flames around 12:45 pm.
