Three ships carrying refined diesel are due to arrive at Chittagong Port on Friday amid the ongoing global fuel crisis.
Another ship carrying diesel is also scheduled to arrive at the port on Sunday, according to Syed Refayet Hamim, secretary (additional charge) of the Chittagong Port Authority.
According to information from the port authority, a ship named “MT Oak Tree” arrived at the port's Alpha Anchorage outer anchorage on Friday, carrying diesel from Malaysia.
Two other ships named the “MT Cape Bonnie” and the “MT Lian Song Hu” are scheduled to arrive in the port's waters on Friday night with refined diesel from Malaysia and India.
The “MT Golden Horizon”, carrying diesel from Malaysia, has also departed for Chittagong Port. It is scheduled to arrive in the port's waters on Sunday.
The four tankers will bring a total of 141,000 tonnes of diesel to Bangladesh.
In addition, according to information from the port, an octane-laden ship named “MT Nave Cielo” will also arrive at the port on Friday.
