Architecture Professor Khaleda Ekram first female BUET VC

Architecture Professor Khaleda Ekram has been appointed Vice-Chancellor to the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

The education ministry on Thursday issued an order appointing her to the post for four years, ministry spokesperson Subodh Chandra Dhali told bdnews24.com.

Prof Ekram will replace outgoing VC Prof Nazrul Islam.

The only other public university to have a female vice-chancellor is Jahangirnagar University.
