Dhaka, April 15 (BDNEWS) – The women's doubles final in the GrameenPhone 26th national badminton championships will be Biman Bangladesh Airlines affairs as both the teams from the national flag carriers trounced their Chittagonian counter-parts in the semi-final Friday.
Noori-Ruma pair beat Shima-Lima and Konika-Momo pair defeated Akhi-Mostary of Chittagong by the same margin of 2-0 sets. The final will take place Saturday.
In the men's singles, Enayet of Gopalganj, Mokhtar and parash of Biman and Jabed of Ansar moved to the semi finals.
Mahbub-Moktar and Paras-Sumon of Biman, Sarwar-Javed of Ansar and Goutam-Rinkoo of Bhola reached the semi final of the men's doubles.
In women's singles, Konika, Noori and Asheda of Biman and Dulali of Pabna moved to the semi final.
Ruma-Mahbub and Momo-Paras of Biman and Shima-Yasmin of Chittagong reached the semi final of the doubles of mixed event.
