Al Hilal and Liverpool have reached an agreement in principle for 26-year-old Uruguay international Darwin Nunez.
The Riyad based outfit are offering a deal worth €53 million ($61.5 million) plus add-ons, and the Premier League champion have verbally agreed to the offer and allowed the player to negotiate with Saudi Pro League side, The Athletic reports.
Although the deal is not over the line and there are some steps that need to be taken to finalise the transfer.
The 26-year-old also had interest from Serie A giants Milan but they cannot spend a large transfer fee for the player.
In January, the Reds rejected a €70million ($81.2 million) offer from Al Nassr for Nunez and remained reluctant to offload the player midway through the season.
Nunez signed with Liverpool from Benfica in 2022 for a potential €100 million ($116.1 million) after add-ons.
He has scored 40 goals in 143 appearances over three seasons at Anfield but started only eight Premier League matches in the title-winning 2024-25 season.
