Dhaka, May 16 (bdnews24.com) – The Dhaka Stock Exchange's key index ended the week's fourth business day 9.57 points lower. The index closed lower for the second consecutive day on Wednesday.
The DGEN closed at 5010.64 points or 0.19 percent down after going high in the opening hours on Wednesday.
Shares and mutual funds worth around Tk 3.49 billion changed hands with prices of 135 gaining, 100 declining and 25 remaining at their opening prices.
The DSE benchmark index shed around 37 points at the end of Tuesday's trading while it gained around 55 points on Monday.
Last week, the key index gained around 84 points or 1.64 percent with a daily average turnover of around Tk 3.84 billion.
