Dhaka, May 22 (BDNEWS) – Bangladesh Jubo Mohila League (BJML) Sunday staged demonstration and held protest rally at Bangabandhu Avenue protesting arrest of 23 leaders and activists including its general secretary Prof Apu Ukil during hartal on May 21 enforced by Awami league.
Syeda Rubina Akhtar chaired the meeting, while Nargin Mahtab, advocate Fazilatun Nesa Bappi, Daisy Sarwar, advocate Navana Akhter, Parvin Khair and Farida Yasmin Jhumpa addressed, among others. Nurnnahar Lovely conducted the rally.
The rally demanded removal of SI Ramijuddin of Dhanmondi thana for his alleged baton charge on the procession of Mohila League during the hartal and immediate release of it's 23 leaders and activists including Prof Apu Ukil.
