BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has urged people to prepare mentally for elections and avoid confusion.
Speaking virtually from his London home at the 46th founding anniversary discussion of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal on Wednesday, Tarique emphasised that BNP’s perspective on the elections is “very clear”.
“People will decide through elections which political party they will accept or reject; it will be the verdict of the people's court," he said.
The BNP leader pointed out that those who fear the people's court or have ulterior motives are the ones causing confusion about the election process.
Tarique advised the public to remain patient.
“Stay mentally prepared for the election. Have faith that the Election Commission will carry out its duties properly."
He also urged party leaders and activists not to be misled by rumours.
“Do not engage in activities that could provide others the opportunity to spread false information, said Tarique.
“Keep the trust of the people and make every effort to maintain it."
Tarique also urged the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leaders and activists to stay cautious and vigilant.
He warned them against making any hasty decisions that could harm the aspirations of a mass uprising.
He emphasised the pivotal role of students and youth in building a safe and self-reliant Bangladesh.
“It is crucial to rise above greed or personal gain and work towards a secure and sustainable future for the next generation.”
