The Jamaat-e-Islami-led 11-party alliance has called for a protest in the capital to condemn post-election violence, torture, repression, killings, and rape across the country.

Jamaat chief Shafiqur Rahman will address the rally as the chief guest at the North Gate of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 4:30pm on Monday. Top leaders of the alliance are expected to participate in the protest.

A media statement issued by Dhaka City South Jamaat Publication Secretary Abdus Sattar Suman announced the protest on Sunday.
