Tensions have flared again outside the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi amid ongoing diplomatic strain between the two countries.
Indian media reported that activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal attempted to break through police barricades on Tuesday to approach the High Commission.
Police resorted to batons to disperse the crowd.
The demonstration was organised in response to the killing of garment worker Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh.
The situation around the High Commission remained tense throughout Tuesday morning.
According to Indian newspaper The Hindu, security had been heightened in the area from early morning, with three layers of barricades and additional police and paramilitary forces deployed.
Despite these measures, several hundred protesters managed to breach the barricades and tried to advance towards the Bangladesh mission, leading to clashes with the police.
