Voters heading to the booths for the 13th parliamentary polls and referendum can expect a radiant day, with only faint morning fog before full sunshine arrives.
On Thursday, light fog may linger at dawn in some river basin areas, but clear skies and bright sunshine are likely to predominate from around 9am, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
Meteorologist Md Tariful Newaz Kabir said most parts of the country would experience sunny conditions throughout the day, similar to the recent weather earlier this week.
Recalling the weather on Monday and Tuesday, when parts of river basins had light morning fog followed by clear skies, he said: “The weather on election day will be similar, although daytime temperatures may be slightly lower.”
Although the general outlook for February suggested the possibility of a day or two of thundershowers or hail, the meteorologist ruled out any precipitation for Thursday.
“Towards the end of February, there could be one or two rainy days,” he added.
Up to Friday, temporary skies partially cloudy skies are expected with dry conditions nationwide, the Met Office said.
As of Tuesday morning, the lowest temperature in the country was 9.6°C recorded in Sreemangal, while the highest was 31.5°C in Teknaf.
