A 12.5-km expressway is under construction between the Kuril Flyover and the Kanchan Bridge to connect Purbachal New Town to Dhaka. Work is ongoing on the eight-lane expressway’s bridges and culverts, underpasses and overpasses. The project also features a six-lane serviceway and 100-feet canals on either side.
