Bangladesh swelters in early autumn heat

According to the Bengali calendar, Friday is the 21st day of Bhadra, one of the autumn months in Bangladesh. But temperatures in the country remain as they did in the sizzling days of summer, making it a hassle to go outside.

There has been rain in different parts of the country, but it has been less than is necessary. Despite the showers, the scorching heat has yet to ebb. It seems as if it has only grown hotter over the past few days. Photo: Abdullah al Momin
