Egg prices still at eye-watering levels

The steep price of eggs has led to major issues for Bangladeshis. The instability in the market has persisted despite the price controls implemented by the government. A dozen eggs are sold at Tk 160 at retail markets in Dhaka, while wholesale markets are selling them for Tk 150-155. A poultry farm in Dhaka’s South Keraniganj is selling a dozen eggs at wholesale prices between Tk 130-136.
