Onion market turns volatile

The onion market has suddenly become volatile, with prices rising at Dhaka’s largest wholesale market in Farashganj due to what traders say is a reduced supply. They say the seasonal stock of onions is nearly exhausted and prices will fall once the new harvest reaches the market.
