Bangladesh has reported the death of another dengue patient over the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide toll since January to 13.
In its daily bulletin on Thursday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said 198 cases have been confirmed over the 24 hours.
With the latest infections, the total number of hospitalised patients has soared to 5,515.
Of the new patients, 28 were hospitalised in Dhaka North and 31 in Dhaka South.
Outside the two city corporations, 26 more were hospitalised in Dhaka Division, 49 in Barishal, 15 in Chattogram, 31 in Khulna, 13 in Mymensingh, and five in Rajshahi.
According to the health directorate, 148 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours.
