Bangladesh has reported three more deaths with measles symptoms in a 24-hour count.
Another 1,214 patients sought hospital care and 96 tested positive for measles during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest deaths bring the number of people who have died with measles symptoms this year to 998.
Another 101 people have died after confirmed measles infections, taking the combined death toll to 1,099.
According to a health directorate bulletin issued Monday, two people died in Chattogram Division and one in Sylhet between 8am Sunday and 8am Monday.
Dhaka Division recorded the highest number of deaths with measles symptoms at 448, followed by Sylhet with 176, Rajshahi 93, Chattogram 83, Mymensingh 79, Barishal 60, Khulna 44 and Rangpur 15.
Of the 1,214 patients presenting with symptoms, 1,159 were admitted.
The admissions included 404 in Dhaka, 275 in Chattogram, 164 in Sylhet, 130 in Barishal, 78 in Khulna, 68 in Mymensingh, 28 in Rajshahi and 12 in Rangpur.
Hospital admissions have reached 167,469, with 160,705 patients discharged.
The number of patients with measles symptoms has reached 189,255, including 21,309 confirmed infections.
The health directorate has tracked measles and measles-symptom infections and deaths since Mar 15.
Not all patients are tested, so the exact number of infections cannot be determined. Only data on patients visiting or admitted to hospitals are recorded.
