Medical college admission test result recheck begins on Oct 10

The results of the test for admission at the government and private medical colleges have been released with the provision for a recheck.

The Directorate General for Health Services says the rechecking request through Teletalk Online would begin on Oct 10 and end on Oct 20.

Admissions will begin on Oct 15 and end on Oct 25 while the classes will start on Jan 10.

The results of the admission test, which was held on Friday, were released on Sunday.

A total of 63,026 applicants sat the one-hour 100-mark MCQ exam. Of them, 24,968 candidates got at least 40 marks, the threshold for eligibility. The highest score was 87.

Lowest score for government medical colleges was 47.25 and the lowest score for private medical colleges 40.

The government has 36 medical colleges while there are 69 medical colleges in the private sector.

There are 4,068 seats in 36 government medical colleges. The number is 6,232 in 69 private medical colleges.
