Jahangir Alam Chowdhury appointed as DU treasurer

The finance department chair will serve a four-year term in his new role

Dhaka University has appointed Jahangir Alam Chowdhury as its new treasurer.

The finance department chairman will be in the role for four years, according to a notification issued by the education ministry on Tuesday.

The appointment was approved by the president and chancellor of the university, the statement said.

In his new role, Jahangir will receive the same salary and allowances as his current post, along with other benefits in line with university regulations.

He will be required to reside on campus full-time.

The chancellor reserve the right to cancel the appointment at any time if deemed necessary, the notification added.
