Sony-Smart opens flagship showroom in Bogura

A Sony-Smart flagship showroom has been opened in Bogura, expanding the availability of Sony’s electronics products and services in the region.

The showroom is located on the ground and second floors of Chayan Housing at 103–104 Sherpur Road in the Sutrapur area of Bogura city, Sony-Smart said in a statement.

Joshua Quek, head of Sony International Bangladesh Branch, inaugurated the showroom on Tuesday.

Among those present at the ceremony were Sony-Smart General Manager and Head of Sales Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury, Deputy General Manager and Head of Marketing Azad Rahman, local business leaders, and media representatives.

Smart Technologies (BD) Limited, the official distributor of Japan’s Sony brand in Bangladesh, markets Sony products nationwide under the name Sony-Smart.

Company officials said residents of Bogura Sadar and surrounding areas will now be able to purchase genuine Sony electronics and receive related services through the new outlet.

To mark the opening, Sony-Smart products, including Sony televisions and Smart LED TVs, will be available at special prices until Mar 10, the company said.

Other products available at the showroom include Sony vlog cameras, Bravia cameras, Sony earbuds, and Nipro glucometers, along with accessories such as smart multipurpose keyboard air-mice.

Customers will also be able to buy appliances from another Japanese brand, Sharp, including refrigerators, deep freezers and air conditioners.

The company said buyers would receive digital warranty services and after-sales support for Sony products. Interest-free EMI facilities through selected bank cards, along with promotional offers from GP Star and Nagad, will also be available.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Quek described Smart Technologies (BD) Limited as an important partner for Sony in Bangladesh.

“Since our partnership began, Sony-Smart has received a strong response from customers and developed a nationwide distribution network,” he said.

“This has helped strengthen buyers’ confidence in Sony products in Bangladesh. Customers in Bogura will now be able to experience genuine Sony products through this showroom.”

Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury said Sony-Smart aims to ensure customers receive authentic Sony products.

“Many customers are sometimes misled when buying Sony products. Sony-Smart guarantees genuine Sony products from Japan and provides digital warranty services,” he said.

He added that the Bogura outlet is the company’s 30th showroom in Bangladesh and that it plans to expand further across the country.

Smart Technologies (BD) Limited markets ICT products from more than 100 global brands in Bangladesh. The company signed an agreement on Nov 26, 2021, to become the official distributor of Sony’s electronics products and related services in the country.

Sony-Smart currently sells Sony products through 30 showrooms, more than 210 partner showrooms and over 2,500 IT partners nationwide.
