We’ll decide on review petition after getting full verdict, says Mir Quasem’s chief counsel

A decision on whether to file a petition seeking a revision of the top court’s verdict, upholding death for war crimes convict Mir Quasem Ali, will be taken after the full verdict is available, said the defence counsel.

“I have no comment on this as the apex court pronounced the verdict,” said Chief Defence Counsel Khandker Mahbub Hossain.

Meanwhile, Mir Quasem’s family is yet to react over the verdict.

“We will later issue a written statement,” his son told reporters at the Supreme Court premises.
