Dhaka, July 21 (BDNEWS) – Two leaders of Bangladesh Women Awami League (BWAL) and their car driver were injured in a road mishap at Daudkandi in Comilla Friday morning.
One them, organising secretary Jolly Kabir was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Dhaka in a critical condition while joint secretary Faridunnahar Laily admitted to Trauma Centre.
Doctors at Apollo Hospital said Jolly has been kept in the ICU with life-support.
Sources said the accident occurred when a speeding bus hit the private car of the BWAL leaders at about 7am while they were going to Noakhali to attend a party meeting.
Soon after the accident, they were rushed to Dhaka.
Saber Hossain Chowdhury, political secretary of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina, and other leaders visited them at the hospitals.
