The Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer is charged with 16 charges of crimes against humanity committed during 1971 Liberation War.
The verdict was scheduled on Tuesday. Officials say security has been beefed up as the government is not willing to take any chances.
Jamaat activists unleashed huge violence last year after similar verdicts against their senior leaders for 'crimes against humanity'.

Police and RAB have set up four layers of security in the area.
