He breathed his last at the age of 80 at Apollo Hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday, his relatives said.
Khan had been suffering from lung complications for a long time, they said.
Khan was the general secretary of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club in the 1980s.
An engineer by training, he had worked in the Public Works Department.
His son Mozammel Haq Babu is Ekattor TV’s Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief.
