A train rammed into a broken truck at a level crossing in Feni on Thursday snapping rail links between Chittagong and the rest of the country.

Railway officials said that the accident took place at the district’s Fatehpur area around 4am on Thursday.
Railway’s Deputy Assistant Engineer in Feni Md Siddiqur Rahman said that a rescue train was rushed to the spot and it cleared the wagons of the train. But the engine is yet to be removed.
He said that tow salvage trains from Chittagong and Laksham have started for the spot.
No casualties have been reported, said Rahman.
