Chief Judicial Magistrate Abdus Salam Khan approved police’s remand plea on Sunday night.
The case investigation officer, Inspector Murshed Zaman, said Jahidul Haque alias ‘Tanim’, 24, was present in court.
He said the court also ordered the production of the other suspect, Shariful Islam, alias Shafiul Islam alias Saiful Islam alias Abu Mokaddel, 22, before the court as soon as possible after he recovers from his injuries.
Shafiul was shot and arrested during a gunfight between police and the attackers that was followed by a bomb attack around 9am on Thursday on the check post. The attack was launched only minutes before the Eid prayers at the Sholakia Eidgah ground.
Two policemen were killed in the attack. While the law enforcers gunned down one of the attackers, a stray bullet during the exchange of fire had killed a woman at a nearby house.
Shafiul is currently undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital under RAB custody.
He and Jahidul both were accused in an anti terrorism case lodged at Kishoreganj Model Police Station on Sunday.
Pakundia police Inspector Mohammad Shamsudin, who was in-charge of the check post that came under attack, filed the case.
Shafiul and Jahidul were accused in it along with several other unidentified persons, said Kishoreganj Model Police Station OC Mir Mosharraf Hossain.
