Dhaka, August 10 (BDNEWS)-The Government has appointed Major General Rezaqul Haider as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Turkey.
He has worked for UNAMET/UNTAET as Chief Military Observer.
He has won The Wiesel Ethics Award '2000 for display of dedication to the ideals of international civil service, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release Wednesday.
Maj Gen Rezaqul was commissioned on 29 August 1971.
Born on 18 April 1951 in Dhaka, he passed both SSC and HSC from Faujdarhat Cadet College. He did his graduation in Bachelor of Arts under Pakistan Military Academy and Masters in Defence Studies from Allahabad University, India.
