A fire at a high-rise building in Dhaka’s Banani has been put out.
The flames were extinguished at 6:10pm on Saturday, Fire Service and Civil Defence media officer Anwarul Islam said.
The fire broke out at a buying house office on the 23rd floor of the 26-storey Ahmed Tower beside FR Tower.
Two units from the Baridhara Fire Station reached the scene at 5:56pm and brought the flames under control.
The Fire Service had received the fire report around 5:30pm, duty officer Rozina Akter said earlier.
Anwarul said the fire was found in an air conditioner and a computer server at the buying house office.
No casualties have been reported, he added.
The cause of the fire and extent of damage were not immediately known.
A blaze at FR Tower on Mar 28, 2019 killed 26 people and injured around 70 others.
