The Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) chairman died at the age of 80 at Labaid Hospital in Dhaka early on Sunday.
Milon, an Ekushey Padak winner, was Consultant Editor of Bangla daily Dainik lttefaq.
Ittefaq Special Correspondent Jamal Uddin said Milon was hospitalised on June 2 when he fell sick.
He was suffering from cardiac, kidney and geriatric diseases.
City Editor Abul Khayer said Milon’s body was kept at his house at Eskaton.
The coffin will be taken to the National Press Club at 1pm and then to the PIB, he said.
The journalist will be buried at Martyred Intellectuals Graveyard at Mirpur on Monday after one of his four daughters, living in Australia, arrives.
He also left behind a son.
